An Introverts World and Pursuing Our Dreams

Kamilah MS

Are you an Introvert Like me? Let us Embrace our Introvertedness..

It’s an introvert’s world, but we just don’t get the recognition. We’re the silent majority, the quiet ones, the ones who stay in the shadows and stay off the radar. We don’t crave the limelight or attention like our extroverted counterparts. We’re content to stay in the background and let others take the lead.

Being an introvert can be tough. We’re often misunderstood, taken for granted, and overlooked. We don’t always fit in with the loud and boisterous crowd, and we can feel like we’re missing out on all the fun. We don’t always have the confidence to speak up and make our voices heard, and can feel like our opinions and ideas are being ignored.

But introverts bring valuable skills and perspectives to the table. We’re great listeners, often more observant than our extroverted counterparts, and can be great problem-solvers and troubleshooters. We’re often more creative and analytical, and can offer unique insights and perspectives that can help move the conversation forward.

Unfortunately, our introverted ways often mean we don’t get the recognition or limelight that our extroverted peers get. We don’t always have the confidence to speak up and have our voices heard. We can be overlooked in group discussions and can be hesitant to share our ideas. We can be passed over for promotions or opportunities because we don’t make ourselves visible.

But being an introvert doesn’t mean we’re doomed to a life of anonymity. We can still thrive and be successful. It just takes a little bit of effort to make sure we’re noticed. We can practice speaking up in meetings and making sure our ideas are heard and being in K Community allow me to allow my ideas to come forward. We can join networking events and make sure we’re connecting with the right people that is why I join Toastmasters last year. We can make sure our work is seen and recognized.

Through my efforts most mistaken me for an extrovert. Actually it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you embrace who you are and be your authentic self.

Yes, it can be tough to be an introvert in today’s world, but with a little bit of effort, we can make sure we’re getting the respect and recognition we deserve.
