Read this blog to know how I derived the inner peace model above.
Throughout the years right up to my late twenties, since I was a five-year-old, I had been struggling to deal with my tantrums and emotional outbursts.
During my adult life, I discovered that I have a disorder associated with anxiety.
I was dedicated and determined to live a normal life because my frequent emotional outbursts had indeed cost me my marriages, my career and undoubtedly, my inner peace.
In 2014, I decided to go on a sabbatical for three years. I stripped myself from the identities that I used to associate myself with. I left my job in the financial and personal development industry and I pursued everything NEW.
I learnt to ride a motorcycle and bought a motorcycle, I went on weekly hikes in the mountains in Malaysia with new groups of hikers, I joined different badminton groups and played badminton three times a week. I applied for a job in a brand new industry and I deliberately separated myself from my children for a year and dedicated only some of my weekends to visit them.
I was desperate to recover. I saw the impact of what anxiety had on me and I stopped relying on loved ones, the government or even the experts to come to rescue me.
I fought this internal battle during the sabbatical.
Within a year, I experienced what Bob Proctor, a renowned author of the book titled The Secret, would call as paradigm shifts.
Bob Proctor has been coaching on the paradigm shift from over fifty years and he shared that there are only two KNOWN types of paradigm shifts,
1. Constant spaced repetition of ideas that are the opposite of the Paradigm and
2. A personal experience of emotional impact.
I went through both types of paradigm shift.
I brought myself back up on my feet. I discovered how I am more than just a woman, wife, mother, consultant coach or any labels that I attach myself with.
Sharing this does not mean that I do not recognise the importance of those roles, it simply means that I am still a somebody even without those labels being attached. I found myself, I found my worth and I found Inner Peace!
During the year that my mom passed away, in 2017, I had found myself a teacher who taught me about what it truly means to have inner peace.
Recently, I discovered energy healing and I learnt that the shifts I experienced are no coincidence. I had tapped into my energy to recover and at the same time, I was supported by the energy that is readily available in mother nature, one that I surrounded myself with during the hikes.
In the diagram above, I included a red circle labelled ‘energetic balance’, there is a tool that I use, it is a tool developed by Votive, a consultancy firm that provides award-winning lean consulting, lean Six Sigma training & business optimisation consultancy in Australia.
It is called the Energetic Balance tool, I used this for coaching because it can accurately gauge the percentage of your energy spent on different areas of our lives (work, money, health, exercise, self-esteem, spirituality, relationship, life purpose, play, relationships and home environment).
For example, if you were to spend too much time on finance and neglect some or more areas in your life such as relationships, health and self-esteem and you experience unfulfillment and lack lustred energy, it is a sign that there is an upset in your energetic balance.
As you begin to see how life lessons can be so profound, I naturally feel compelled to share this beautiful experience of inner peace to the world. A message that coincides with the universal wisdom that is already known to man and yet many fail to tap into this inner wisdom.
You do not need to radically change your life the way I did.
I thought of ways to impart what I’ve learnt over the years being in total wellness and personal development industry and the radical shift I experience about my anxiety and my life.
I am now three years into my third marriage and I live with all my four children. I have noticed how Inner peace have helped influence my loved ones too, my progression and overall quality of life.
What used to be view as challenges in my life, are simply lessons for me that are being taught through life.
I derived the six core principles of inner peace and this core principle is a universal principle or must-haves that’s being taught fundamentally in most religious teachings and those who advocate inner peace.
What I teach or coach is not religious. I coach based on a universal concept of inner peace, one that connects us back to our humanity. We were all born innocent like a blank white canvass.
Last and not least, we need purpose. With a clear purpose, we will begin to lead a laser-focused life to serve that very purpose. My purpose is unique and so is yours. What is your purpose? With energetic balance, the six core principles and a clear purpose in life, you will undoubtedly experience an unwavering sense of inner peace.
