How I Perform A Reiki Session

1. Center

In a serene moment of poised tranquillity, we embrace the stillness within, ready to welcome the flow of healing energy in a Reiki session.

2. Energy Scan

During the energy scan phase, we gently attune to the body’s subtle vibrations, laying the foundation for the harmonious flow of Reiki’s healing energy.

3. Set Your Intention

Setting an intention before Reiki creates a space where our deepest desires and healing goals align with the universal energy, guiding the session towards profound transformation and balance.

4. Channel The Energy

In Reiki, channelling energy involves tapping into the universal life force, allowing it to flow through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient, promoting healing, balance, and rejuvenation on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

5. Allow Energy to Flow Where Needed

Reiki is readily available like oxygen and during a reiki session, the energy will flow to where healing is needed the most.

6. Aura Sweep

The aura sweep is a gentle yet powerful practice following Reiki, where the practitioner’s hands lightly brush over the recipient’s energy field, clearing away any residual blockages or negative energies, and leaving them feeling refreshed and revitalized.

1- In-Person Reiki Healing
2- Distance Reiki Healing

No matter which option you choose, the healing energy works the same way. Distance Reiki healing is a form of energy healing where a practitioner channels positive energy to someone remotely, regardless of physical distance.
Energy Concept: Reiki is based on the idea that everything, including our bodies, is made up of energy. This energy, often called “life force energy,” can be influenced and balanced to promote healing.
Distance Healing: In distance Reiki, the practitioner taps into this energy and directs it toward the recipient, regardless of their physical location. They use techniques such as visualization, and intention setting to connect with the recipient’s energy field.
Intent and Focus: Skeptics may question how energy can be transferred over a distance without physical contact. Proponents suggest that the power of intention and focused energy transcends physical limitations, similar to how thoughts can influence emotions even though they’re not tangible.
Subjective Experience: Recipients of distance Reiki often report sensations such as warmth, tingling, or relaxation, even though there’s no physical touch involved. Sceptics may view these experiences as placebo effects or the result of relaxation techniques rather than a direct transfer of energy.
Research and Evidence: While there’s anecdotal evidence supporting the effectiveness of Reiki, scientific studies on distance Reiki specifically are limited.
Open-mindedness: Ultimately, whether one believes in the efficacy of distance Reiki may depend on their openness to unconventional healing methods and their personal experiences.

Crystal Healing

Note: This is an add-on option given to in-person healing clients and is complimentary with no additional fees.
Crystals have metaphysical and piezo properties. It can be used to complement Reiki healing by amplifying the energy that is passed through during a Reiki session. It can also be used to focus the Reiki practitioner’s attention on specific areas of the body or issues that need healing.

In-Person Reiki Healing

… is when a practitioner works with you in the same physical space. During the session, the practitioner will assess your energy and use your hands to direct healing energy to your body. This type of healing is ideal for those seeking a more personal connection with the practitioner and can be especially beneficial for those who are looking for a more physical touch. (With the option to include crystal healing)

Remote Reiki Healing

… is when a practitioner works with you over a distance. Although the practitioner and the recipient are not in the same physical space, the healing energy is still able to be sent and received. During a remote healing session, the practitioner will assess the energy of the recipient and use their hands to direct energy over a distance. This is a great option for those who are unable to travel or who prefer a more subtle and private healing experience.

The frequency of reiki healing depends on the individual’s needs, but it is generally recommended to receive reiki sessions at least once a week. However, some people may benefit from more frequent sessions, particularly if they are dealing with a chronic condition or illness.

Complementary and Integrative Therapies for the Management of Stress, Anxiety, Fatigue and Burnout in Nurses and Health Care Workers

Reiki was administered by volunteers, with sessions of 15 to 20 minutes each. Five sessions were interrupted because the participant was called back to his/her workstation and therefore did not complete a survey form. A complete Reiki session is generally 1 to 1 ½ hours in length.
